The System: This simple system consists of interlocking tambour slats with a choice of interlocking handles. These parts are simply cut to the proper length and then interlocked one to the next. A couple of pieces of reinforced tape is then applied to the back to hold everything in place (supplied by customer).
The use of larger vertically opening tambour doors is now feasible by using the unique spring tension lifting mechanisms. Systems are available to control tambour doors up to 36” wide by up to 78” tall. The use of two mechanisms will control doors up to 48” wide by up to 78” tall.		A fascia profile is also available for use as either a stile or rail. It is simply attached to the end or top panel with screws. The Colors: The beauty of the product lies in its color choices. A true stainless steel look is now available in a plastic tambour. It is also available in silver metallic and semi gloss black which can be painted with new Spray Krylon TM Paint for plastics
This is a versatile tambour system with applications in many industries, including: Kitchens: With stainless steel gaining in popularity, our stainless steel transfer foil finish is perfect for appliance garages or full-height corner cabinet applications. *These are 5/8" tall each. To figure out how many you need, divide your opening height by .625.
This will give you the total Slats you need. Than divide 96" by the door width. This will give you the
total FULL pieces that a 96" Slat will yield. Divide the total of slats needed by total FULL pieces that
a 96" Slat will yield for your door width. This will give you the total 96" Slats needed. 96" is the
only length that can be provided in any of the Fennel Tambour components.

*For 96" Straight Tracks, you will need your door height, x 4. You may need to add more Straight Track if you do not want splices. If your cabinet depth is less than your door height, you will need 4 - 90deg corners per door so you can run the track along the top of your cabinet than down the back, otherwise, you need 2. LIFTING MECHANISMS
Lifting Mechanisms:
This system is key to the successful use of larger tambour doors operating in a vertical application. The systems allow for easy operating tambour doors with vertical heights from 24” to 78”. Typically, a door shorter than 24” will not require the system. When using a single system, tambour door slat lengths should not exceed about 36”.36" to 48" doors will require two systems. The system requires a shelf in the top of the cabinet for mounting of the main system parts. No functional elements are visible outside the cabinet. Indivdual systems are available to control vertical door heights of up to 27-1/2”, 55” and 78” by widths of up to 36” (slat length).
